Noddy is a character created by British children’s author Enid Blyton, originally published between 1949 and 1963. The television show based on the character is the longest running show in British television since 1955, and continues to appear to this day. Blyton was an extraordinary writer, able to put out an amazing 10,000 words a day. Over her 40 year career she would write and publish over 600 titles, translated into 70 different languages and would sell 60 million books by the 1980′s. The French toymaker Vilac produces a charming line of the Noddy toys under the name of Oui Oui. Visit Vilac’s website.
