Seiffen, located in eastern Germany close to the Czech border in the Ore Mountains (Erzgebirge), has an artisinal wooden toy manufacturing tradition dating back to the 18th century. Today local toy producers, many of them family-run, export their hand-made ornaments, nutcrackers, Christmas pyramids, figurines and other toys worldwide. Read More.
