Doug Stowe-Eureka Springs, Arkansas: Making children’s toys was a common educational activity first popularized by Eva Rodhe in Gothenburg in the late 1890′s. These primary grade students are making wood toys as part of an integrated learning social studies project. They are studying westward expansion.
